This water filter didn¡¯t disappoint! We took it with on the Appalachian Trail backpacking and it worked beautifully! Clean, clear water and it tasted great! So easy to use! Our friends brought a pump filter and ended up using ours instead. The pump filters are exhausting and take forever. With this gravity filter we simply hung it on a tree and used it as needed. Would highly recommend!
Took this with me on the Everest Base Camp Trek. The gravity water filter was fantastic. I probably filtered a couple hundred gallons of water for my entire group. During the entire trekking period nobody got sick from the water that was filtered by this device. We actually had backup chlorine pills just in case this didn’t work but never had to use them. Very easy to use, filtered water quickly and light enough to carry around with me everywhere.
To be franc, I have not used this filter to drink dirty water. I simply use it to filter tap or bottled water to get rid of micro-plastics. This is a 0.1 micron filter so more than enough to do the job. 100% satisfied so far but maybe would need a U ring of better quality to avoid leaks and spillage (had to replace mine).I don’t use the bag provided I just screw it on my water bottles
I was hiking and when I cam to two creeks they were dry; slightly I panicked, I kept hiking another 4 miles. I came to a small running creek. The large roll bag was easy to fill. I then carried the filled bag (clamped the tube and hooked the bag to the outside of my pack)and would filter into the smaller handheld bag when I needed a refill. Faster filtering and made really dark brown water taste fresh. Easy to clean the filter. I would highly recommend this product and so happy I switched to the gravity bag system.
The system is EASY to use and produces GREAT TASTING and SAFE water for drinking and cooking on the trail. This light weight system is very well-designed and a single filter quickly filtered 1.5 gallons of spring water each day of our excursion with no noticeable slowing. I was very impressed and extremely happy with this product.
